New Functions in DVS3D2.1

In April, DVS3D was launched in the market, and it supports more data formats and provides better rendering.It can directly read and parse data generated by Catia, UG, Pro/E, Solidworks, and other industrial design software, thereby acquiring complete product structures, graphics and geometric data.In addition, it can edit the acquired models to provide lifelike models.

For data processing, dynamic optimization function is introduced to optimize data for industrial design models by using geometrical information.When using industrial design software, designers pursue high definition without considering data volumes of images. In virtual reality environment, optimization is necessary for big data processing. DVS3D2.1 supports vertex optimization for original data of acquired models. Users can determine optimization levels based on visual effects.

DVS3D2.1 introduces the marking function. In the editor, users can add illustrative information to components of models, which is then sent to the rendering side for man-machine interactions. This can provide information for scheme assessment and virtual training in 3D display.

In terms of rendering effects, the weather system is introduced for 24-hour illumination simulation, thereby supporting realistic simulation of scenes.Furthermore, more preset scenes are added, including desert, ocean, mountain, topography, and plant. Users can rapidly select desired scenes from the preset scene database to produce representation scenes.This helps users reduce time spent on building background and improves representation effects.

DVS3D updates the material database and has added more than 60 standard materials and provides a simplified operation that enable users to set a material through three steps.Designers who do not have a foundation in graphics can also easily provide high-quality rendering effects by using the new material database.Procedure: Select a model.>Select the material panel.>Select materials in the material database.>Finely modify parameters.

In the 3DStore material library module built in DVS3D, users can add “my model library” and then download desired models. Then, users can directly drag models in “my model library” to DVS3D to rapidly build desired scenes.

In terms of user experience, DVS3D 2.1 enhances detailed functions, for example, multi-threaded data reading and real-time progress prompt; model dragging and opening by double-clicking; Optimization and pre-saving of files for rapid opening; updated view control modes during man-machine interactions for 360 - degree view; updated man-machine interaction interface to provide visualized graphic user interfaces; data acquisition cancellation confirmation dialog (after data acquisition command is triggered, parsing and reconstitution are performed in DVS in a background manner).
